It’s Summer Game Fest season, baby! PlayStation’s State of Play tonight was the unofficial start of this week’s festivities, and we’ve already had some awesome trailers for Marvel’s Wolverine and Capcom’s Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
In between those, there was a trailer for an upcoming game called The Lost Wild, which piqued my attention straight away, giving off strong Jurassic Park survival horror vibes.

You find yourself stranded in a world plagued by dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures, with a voice on the radio your only guidance to safety. You’ll have to scavenge around for useful items, and outmanoeuvre the creatures in order to stay alive. Worst case scenario, you can try to intimidate the dinosaurs with fire (the classic swinging a flaming stick).
The game was previously revealed by publisher Annapurna Interactive and developer Great Ape Games way back in 2022, but development has been pretty quiet since then. This trailer marks the first public news about the game since a community update in May of last year.
The Lost Wild is now set to release in 2027, now confirmed for PS5 and Steam. Check out the State of Play trailer below:
