During Sony’s State of Play, Konami dropped a brand-new trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall and confirmed the psychological horror title will launch on September 24th, 2026.
The fresh footage gave us a peak into the gameplay, showcasing a heavy emphasis on first-person stealth mechanics. Players will be doing plenty of sneaking around, utilizing hiding spots, and luring enemies away using throwables. We also got a look at a unique, retro “CRTV” pocket device that Simon uses to pick up radio signals and track threats and clues through the fog.
The trailer also provided a closer look at the terrifying new monstrosities hunting us down, including this incredibly friendly-looking fellow:

It’s a super exciting time to be a Silent Hill fan, as the franchise is moving towards an annual release approach. Last year’s Silent Hill f was a really strong 2025 game of the year contender here at JumpScared, so we’ve got high hopes for this year’s entry.
Townfall trades the rural 1960s Japan of Silent Hill f for St. Amelia, a Scottish island in the 1990s. Players will step into the shoes of Simon Ordell as he attempts to discover his connection to the island and its inhabitants. Crucially, this marks the franchise’s first full-length entry entirely in the first-person perspective, giving off some serious Resident Evil 7 vibes for the series.
Silent Hill: Townfall is coming to PlayStation and Steam on September 24th, 2026. Check out the new trailer below:
