Capcom is marking the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil series with an unexpected crossover, teaming up with Japanese kawaii metal band BABYMETAL for a limited-time merch drop.

The collection includes two t-shirts, a zip-up hoodie, keychains, and an acrylic stand, all blending Resident Evil’s villains (mainly Lady Dimitrescu) with BABYMETAL’s three-member lineup.

The standout piece for me is easily the zip-up hoodie, but it’ll set you back around £80 / $90 USD, so it’s very much a “treat yourself” kind of purchase.

Each of the five items features artwork by illustrator Hinanana and graphic designer GOTO, both of whom have worked on Capcom artwork in the past.

Pre-orders are live now and run for 24 hours only, until June 26 at 11:59 PM, but availability depends on your region.

You can grab the collection here:

US: https://babymetal.store/
UK: https://babymetalstoreuk.com/
Japan: https://www.asmart.jp/babymetal/

The collection is part of the ongoing celebration of Resident Evil’s 30th anniversary celebrations. Hot off the heels of Resident Evil: Requiem’s gargantuan launch earlier this year, Resident Evil has now surpassed over 200 million units sold, cementing itself as the best-selling horror franchise of all time.
