26 March – Crime Scene Cleaner has received a massive free update, and Kovalsky’s story just got a whole lot messier.
The Act 2 update continues the story of everyone’s favourite crime scene cleaner and brings this chapter of Kovalsky’s journey to a close. Players can dive into 5 brand-new crime scenes, each pushing the narrative forward toward what developer President Studio is calling a “grand finale,” at least for now.
The update expands on the ongoing storyline involving Kovalsky’s daughter, Elena, and the increasingly dangerous dealings tied to mafia boss Big Jim, raising the stakes as the story unfolds.
Beyond the narrative, there’s plenty here for completionists. Players can unlock new skins to customize their cleaner, collect additional music tracks, and earn a fresh batch of achievements.
For those looking for more of a challenge, all new missions also come with a Nightmare variant, first introduced in last year’s Nightmare update, which ramps up the body counts and leans more into the supernatural. There’s also True Cleaner mode, stripping away abilities like Cleaner Vision for a more hardcore, realistic experience.
With Act 2 now live, the free post-launch roadmap outlined by President Studio has officially been completed. However, the studio isn’t slowing down, simultaneously confirming that the first paid DLC, Biohazard, is already in development. As the name suggests, it will introduce radioactive crime scenes, along with new missions, mechanics, and equipment.
