Stranger Things is officially returning to Dead by Daylight early next year, with a second chapter confirmed to be on the way. A new teaser trailer posted to the game’s social channels reveals that Vecna – the big bad of Seasons 4 and 5 of the Netflix show – is entering the Fog.
The first Stranger Things Chapter in 2019 brought the Demogorgon as the Killer, and Nancy and Steve as Survivors. It also came with the Hawkins Lab map, which is one of my personal favourites.
From the teaser trailer, we know that Vecna will be the Chapter’s Killer, but we don’t know yet whether we’ll get any new Survivors or another Stranger Things map.
Since they can’t really put the children as Survivors in the game, my guess is that the new Survivors (if there are any) will be Joyce Byers and Detective Hopper, but we’ll have to wait to find out for sure.
It’s also very unlikely one of the Survivors will be Jonathan Byers, as he’s already a Legendary skin for Steve Harrington.
This announcement about a second chapter is a really good sign that the relationship between Behaviour and Netflix has improved. As you might remember, the original Stranger Things Chapter was removed from the game back in November 2021 due to licensing issues, before finally being brought back two years later.
