It’s a new year, which means more monthly games being added to Xbox Game Pass. For horror fans, it’s a really strong month, with two amazing horror games being added to the service in January 2026.
Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition
As of January 6th, Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition is available on Game Pass.
Little Nightmares is a fantastic puzzle horror game, full of stellar world-building and creepy atmosphere. You play as Six, as she traverses an eerie metal vessel full of weird, larger-than-life enemies.
The enhanced edition improves the performance and graphics of the title to 4K, 60 FPS.
It’s the perfect time to play Little Nightmares, as the developers (Tarsier Studios) are releasing their next game Reanimal, which visually looks very similar to Little Nightmares, in February.
Resident Evil: Village
On January 20th, the service will add Resident Evil 8: Village, a superb action-horror adventure and sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. You play as Ethan Winters as he searches for his kidnapped daughter in a mysterious, snowy village.
Again, it’s a great time to play the 8th instalment of Resident Evil, as the 9th title in the best-selling horror franchise is set to launch next month.
