Eldamar Studio’s debut title challenges players to manipulate gravity, space, and time to survive a deeply atmospheric nightmare.

Eldamar Studio, an independent team based in Calgary, Canada, has officially unveiled its debut title, Lucid Falls. It’s a psychological horror adventure promising cinematic visuals and an atmosphere-driven experience.

The game made its first public appearance with a trailer during the Day of the Devs Digital Showcase at The Game Awards.

Mastering Reality to Survive

Lucid Falls plunges players into a nightmare world where the rules of reality are constantly in flux, realizing the developers’ vision to “make a dream feel real.” Trapped within a lucid dream, players must fight to survive against grotesque, hellish creatures lurking in the shadows.

The game’s core mechanic is the ability to manipulate reality itself by altering gravity, space, and time. This is essential for both navigation and puzzle-solving, as players must shift the environment to uncover hidden paths and solve challenges.

Creative Director Yurii Radkevych shared that the game is a “very personal project” for the team, focusing intently on the game’s strong visual direction and compelling mood.

“We believe our debut trailer speaks for itself in terms of the atmosphere and visual flair that we are going to deliver.”

I definitely agree that, visually, the game looks stunning, so I’m really excited to learn more about the game as development continues.

While a release window has not yet been announced, Lucid Falls is available to wishlist now on Steam. Check out some screenshots from the game below.
