Following the launch of Season 6: Project Judas in late March, The Outlast Trials is back with its next big update, Season 6.1: Prime Time, bringing a load of new content for players to dive into.
The highlight of the update is the return of the Prime Time limited-time event, which shakes up Trials with multiple Prime Assets appearing in the same trial at the same time.
Alongside this, the update introduces two new MK-Challenges, new upcoming weekly Routine Therapies, and a fresh limited-time catalog packed with rewards.
Prime Time 2026
Prime Time is a limited-time event built around one core idea: multiple Prime Assets can appear within the same Trial simultaneously.
The event last ran in June 2025, featuring Coyle, Mother Gooseberry, and Franco. Since then, two new Prime Assets – the Kress twins and Liliya – have been added to the game, meaning this version of Prime Time is more chaotic than ever.
For 2026, the event includes the following variators:
- Prime Roulette: “Multiple Prime Assets present in the Trial at the same time. Once a Prime Asset retires, a different one will come in”.
- Break the Television: “Break all defective televisions for additional rewards”.
- Extra Prime Asset Traps: “Extra Prime Asset traps in the trial”.
As always, the event also introduces a limited-time catalog of cosmetics and rewards. Players can earn items until June 16th, including:
- A cell bundle
- Cell items and poster
- Player icon and border
- New outfits

New Weekly Routine Therapies
Once Prime Time ends, two new weekly events will take over:
-
-
-
-
- Classified (June 16th – June 30th)
“Multiple secret variators have been added to your therapy. Adapt or die.”
- Classified (June 16th – June 30th)
-
- Mirror (June 30th – July 14th)
“The trial perspective is altered to mislead the reagents.”
- Mirror (June 30th – July 14th)
-
-
-
These weekly events now last two weeks instead of one, which is a welcome change.
Bug Fixes and Balancing
The update has also brought a number of balancing changes, which you can see below:
-
-
-
-
- The previously removed “Rare” cosmetic tier has been reintroduced under a new designation: Enhanced.
-
- Variator “Classified”: Tutorials for randomly selected variators are no longer displayed at the start of a Trial.
-
- Escape the Lies: Fixed an issue where the “Mandatory Secondary Objective” variator did not function as intended during this Trial.
-
- Escape the Lies has been removed from Escalation since there is no Shuttle sequence to choose your loadout.
-
- Fixed an issue where bandages could be reused when cancelling its animation.
-
-
-
Invasion
-
-
-
-
- Ex-Pops no longer react to imposters, unless directly obstructed.
-
- Imposters are now invulnerable to other projectiles for a longer period of time after being hit by a projectile. Additional hits during this window trigger reduced reactions.
-
- Imposter scoring penalty caused by projectiles is not affected while in the invulnerability period anymore.
-
- Imposter deployment is no longer tied to the number of Reagents alive in the Trial. It’s still affected by the total amount of Reagents in the game (1-2 reagents = 1 imposter, 3-4 reagents = 2 imposters).
-
- Fixed an issue where a Reagent could still be executed if the Imposter was interrupted by another Reagent bashing through a door.
