After more than a year since the previous instalment, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 has finally arrived. As with earlier chapters, there are hidden VHS tapes scattered throughout the game, each offering extra insight into the disturbing secrets of Playtime Co.
This time around, there are only 3 VHS tapes to find. Below, we’ll walk you through exactly where to locate each tape, and where to find the VHS players to watch them.
Tape 1 Location – Experiment 1170: Executive Showcase
You’ll find the first tape during the Testing level, after you unlock the door with the keypad consisting of faces with different expressions (by the way, the code is Yellow, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Yellow).
Once you walk through the unlocked door, you’ll see the blue tape lying on the floor just a few steps ahead.
To play it, continue down the same hallway. On your left, you’ll enter a large open room with a big green chair in the center. Inside this room, you’ll spot a blue television where you can insert and watch the tape.
Tape 2 Location – Three P’s of Diorama Safety
The second tape appears after your first bus ride, inside the playground area during the Sweet level.
Head to the jungle gym, and walk up the climbing wall. You’ll find the yellow tape on the floor.
Turn to your right, and continue up to the top of the jungle gym. You’ll reach a treehouse area, where you will find the yellow television to watch the second tape.
Tape 3 Location – How to Maintain Your — (Illegible)
You’ll find the third and final VHS tape during the Reanimation level, near the Grand Stitchery area.
First, go to the hallway opposite the room where you collect the battery for the Grand Stitchery. Look for a cracked window and smash it using your Pressure Hand. On the other side, use the nearby electrical panel to charge your Conductive Hand.
Next, continue down the hallway and take a left. You’ll spot another cracked window beside a red block, directly across from the Grand Stitchery door. Break this window as well, then use your Conductive Hand to power the electrical node in the adjacent section of the room. This will open the door to the room with the final tape.
Enter the room, and inside, you’ll come across a locked locker containing the red VHS tape.
To find the code, use Glowby’s UV light on the wall to your right to reveal the numbers 782. Enter 782 to unlock the locker and collect the red tape.
To watch it, leave Surgery Room 2 and head through the white door directly opposite. You’ll find a red TV set up inside where you can play the tape.
